We also have social activities, picnics and outings together.

Our Annual Fete is held on the Saturday of the week before Mother’s Day.  So in 2008 it will be held between 8.00 am and 1.30 pm on 3rd May and in 2009 on the 2nd.  This is a great occasion with many and varied stalls and a hall full of Trash and Treasure.   Some of our property users do demonstrations during the morning such as Tai Chi and various Martial Arts.   Frequently we have Scottish Pipers from Knox Pipe Band.  The fete takes various shapes as a full-blown Tartan Fair  or a more simplified Giant Garage Sale but whatever form it takes in a particular year there is always fun, food, fellowship and some great bargains.

At the front corner of our property we have a Clothing Bin for the community use.   The used clothing and items which go into the bin are sorted at the Presbyterian Social Services Recycling Depot at Croyden.   Good items gleaned from the binds  are available to the needy of the community, whilst the unusable items are sold for rags and the rest goes in to the After-A-Fashion  Opportunity Shops scattered around the city.  The profit from this then helps in the PSS work in providing financial support to the ill, aged and destitute, and in particular helps support a chaplain at the Westmead Children’s Hospital and a chaplain to the Deaf Ministry.

Please use this Bin with items that you may no longer need but which can be of great assistance to others.
