Baptism is an outward sign and seal of a person being within the Covenant Community as believers in God,  who trust Jesus as Lord and Saviour and who live their lives in the light of that commitment.

For children of believers to be baptised the parents must make a credible profession of faith in Christ and promise to bring their child up teaching them the truths and duties of the Christian faith within the church and at home.

The congregation signal their willingness to recognise the child/family/individual as being within the Covenant family and to do only positive things to assist in the spiritual growth of the person or child concerned.
